Understand the purchasing process, fees, and how your information is used.

Purchasing service fee

The purchasing service fee covers order review, manual purchasing, payment tool maintenance, operational support, and transaction records. Merchant taxes, applicable currency conversion costs, and other actual expenses are listed separately.

Other costs, verified separately

  • Merchant taxes: Based on the merchant’s actual checkout. Unverified taxes are marked “Pending verification” and must not be treated as zero.
  • Applicable MEHUH taxes: Where applicable, these are listed separately based on the transaction structure and review. The purchasing service fee should not be assumed to be tax-exempt.
  • Currency conversion costs: Verified against the payment method and settlement currency. If charged on the total card payment, the calculation includes merchant taxes and related merchant charges.
  • Shipping, import and customs clearance, payment collection, and other direct costs: Disclosed individually and separately from the service fee. Costs already included in the merchant total are not counted twice.

Reference estimates and final quotes

Reference estimates use the latest available reference exchange rates, with the source and update time shown. If rates are unavailable, orders can be submitted for a manual quote. Final quotes are tied to the product version, tax verification records, and an exchange rate snapshot, and have a stated expiry time.

Calculation details
Final quote = (final merchant total in USD + purchasing service fee + currency conversion costs + other direct costs + applicable MEHUH taxes) × USD/CNY exchange rate

If collection fees are charged as a percentage of the customer’s total payment, the system calculates the total required to cover them. This cost appears in the formal quote breakdown.

Quote changes and refunds

You may request cancellation before payment. For paid orders, failed purchases, completed merchant transactions or received merchant refunds, we review refundable amounts, incurred service and direct costs, and merchant rules separately. Expected and actual refunds are recorded separately; full refunds are not guaranteed. Differences are recorded and handled under applicable terms. No extra charges are added without your agreement.

If product requirements, merchant charges, or taxes change, purchasing pauses while a revised quote is issued for your approval. Accepted quotes do not automatically change with new exchange rates.
